Operation
Brotherhood 2008 was a great success as 1,946 families were reached for our
Lord. Twenty nine organizations and churches participated including three
new groups. Many more than 5,000 were fed with food and the Word of God.
It was a blessing from God that this was accomplished given the state of the
economy and the unsettled nature of the presidential race at the time.
However, God’s people came through and generously gave of their time,
talents, and treasure.
We wish to thank the Korean United Church of
Philadelphia. Its members and staff were so generous and loving to all the
Operation Brotherhood workers, even supplying food and drinks to the weary
as potatoes and onions were being placed in those 1,946. More than that,
they also supplied most of the potatoes and onions! Our appreciation for
the partnership with Korean United Church grows with each new year as we
contemplate the fact that we have worked together for seventeen years now.
We wish to thank the Philadelphia Bible Society for
providing us with 1,946 Gospels of John booklets which were presented to
each family as they received their food. We ask for your prayers for these
families that the Word of God would lead them to our Lord and Savior.
Our thanks also goes to PECO Crown Lights for placing
our message, “‘Love one another’-Operation Brotherhood 2008-Skilton House
Ministries” on the marquee of their office building so that the whole city
of Philadelphia could see it.
Last but not least, our thanks go out to you, our
Christian friends, who have supported us through your churches, schools, and
generous contributions. May God bless you as you serve him and may the new
year bring his blessings to you and yours.
